Florida Bioptic Laws 

Bioptics are allowed for driving, but not to pass the licensure test. Florida's bioptic rules are very restrictive.

• Visual Acuity: Must have 20/70 in either eye with or without corrective lenses. Monocular persons require 20/40 in the functional eye.
• Visual Field: 140 degrees minimum.
• Bioptic Telescopes are not recognized to meet visual standards or take the vision test.
• Must have 20/70 or better with the bioptic carrier lenses.
