Idaho Bioptic Laws
Bioptics are permitted for driving and to pass the licensure test.
- Visual Acuity: 20/40 in the better eye, with or without corrective lenses: no restrictions; 20/50 - 20/60: Annual Testing and Road Test; 20/70: Denied
- Visual Fields are not specified.
- The use of bioptic telescopes is acceptable. Acuity must reach 20/40 with the telescope and be 20/200 or better with the carrier lenses.
- An annual vision and road test is required. Daylight only for bioptic drivers.
