Amblyopic Eye Other Eye Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion
My vision problem is the result of retina cells that have gone bad. This happened immediately after my retirement. My dreams of traveling after retirement had quickly been abolished. I was without driving privileges for approximately two years. Those two years caused a real inconvenience for both me and my family. I had to depend on others for transportation.
My doctor referred me to Dr. Windsor at the Low Vision Centers of Indiana and he recommended the bioptic driving unit for me.
After making the decision to go with bioptic driving, I had to undergo bioptic driver’s training. My instructor was a very qualified and effective teacher. After several weeks of training, I was able to receive my Indiana Driver’s License. That was four years ago.
Since that time, I have been living a very full and independent life. Without bioptic driving, I would still be dependent upon others for my transportation.
