VES- II (The original VES System introduced in the 1980's)

VES- II was the first cosmetically appealing bioptic system. It brought Keplerian optics to patients but in a high cosmetic, acceptible manner. Funded by the National Institute of Health,  it revolutionized bioptic eyewear. There was no longer a tube sticking out into space. Patients appreciated the improved cosmetic appearance. This system has been replaced by the VES-K and now the new VES–Sport. VES-II is a moncular system.

Our practice has many patients still using this system twenty years after its introduction. Today, however our doctors prescribe the latest version the Ocutech–Sport.
